A Partnership for Community Transformation
The Pittsburgh Street Team Initiative and The Hear Foundation are joining forces at a critical time for Pittsburgh communities.
This collaboration brings together the grassroots, community-centered work of the Pittsburgh Street Team with The Hear Foundation as its partnering organization, creating a stronger platform to reach severely underserved communities and connect residents with the resources, opportunities, and support they need.
The Pittsburgh Street Team was brought to light through the support and collaboration of Councilperson Erica Strassburger of District 8 and Councilman Khari Mosley of District 9, whose willingness to support community-driven solutions has helped elevate the vision of a coordinated street-level initiative.
Why This Partnership Matters
Pittsburgh is facing challenges that cannot be addressed in isolation—youth takeover and violence, gun violence, police brutality and community trust, housing disparities, economic inequality, reentry barriers, and the lack of opportunity impacting severely underserved communities.
The Pittsburgh Street Team is committed to meeting people where they are, building relationships, identifying needs, connecting residents to resources, and creating pathways toward safer and stronger communities.
Together, the Street Team and The Hear Foundation can help create a collaborative network focused on:
